Authoring

The Writing Isn’t Always on the Wall Sometimes it’s in a printed book, or on a desktop, or a laptop, or an iPad or a phone, or a widescreen TV…or in a theater.

Conversions / Publishing

Sure, copying and pasting is an option. That is, if you have the extra schedule and don’t mind taking on the constant risk of human error. Or you could choose an alternate route.

Graphics / Multimedia

Exceptional, class-leading technical publications cannot rely solely on well written copy. RCM generates thousands of graphics annually with precise attention to detail in virtually all industry accepted formats, to include CGMs, SVGs, WebCGM2s, animations and 3D graphics to support our customer deliverables.

Training

Before the techs can turn the first wrench, chase the first spark, or wiggle their first flight control, they’ll need to learn how to use your new manual.

Authoring

Making Sure Every Word Counts

The good news is that RCM can ensure that your authored data resides, uniformly, in one secure place and is viewable on all the above. We can even output various published specifications from the same authored data. Seriously, if you can think of it and it is related to technical authoring, we’ve probably already done it. Now it’s time to find out how we can help you do the same.

CSDB Hosting

What is a CSDB and why use it?

A CSDB is valuable tool that manages all datatypes; (i.e. descriptive, informational, process and procedural direction, graphics; photos, animations and illustrations). Data managed properly in a CSDB and IAW with S1000D is not duplicated. During in-service updates, single instances of the data can be confidently edited, infinitely throughout the database.

Ensuring data is updated in only one location avoids potential data-conflicts and quality issues down the road.

Shipdex

Why Shipdex and why now?

Digital information authored to the Shipdex protocol is easily managed throughout the lifecycle of the product. Changes are tracked (for historical review) and can be applied automatically to existing manual databases. This can even be processed remotely ensuring current data is accessed to perform all required functions.
