The Background: RCM Energy Services was selected to provide design, engineering, testing and commissioning services for the Nalcor Lower Churchill Project (LCP).
The Challenge: The complexity of the project’s scope represented the main challenge to delivering a customizable solution at scale and on time for the client.
The Solution: RCM utilized intelligent P&C design tools to develop an efficient and high-quality solution for over 300 protection and control panels. The experience and workflow of RCM’s Energy Services team allowed for a robust design to be produced on time and delivered to the customer. The testing, commissioning, and energization support allowed for the AC switching stations and HVDC converter stations to be successfully energized and to provide clean and critical power to the Newfoundland electrical grid.
